can you dye almonds?

My wedding favors are going to be filled with those almonds, I believe they are called julienne almonds (?) Is there a way to dye them with food coloring??? I really want them to be purple. The only ones I have found are the pastel easter colored ones, white, pink and blue. Any advice is appreciated

You cannot dye almonds because dye has chemicals whihc i am pretty sure are not good for you if you eat it but you can always coat the almond with colored hard candy....i guesss just melt the candy...

For favors, I think the tradition is 3 Jordan almonds. I know it is an odd number -- if not 3, then maybe 5.
