Can you have more than one centerpiece design?

Hannah, on April 27, 2018 at 11:52 AM Posted in Style and Décor 1 16
So I am wondering if you can have multiple different centerpieces?
So I originally was going to do a Mason jar centerpiece with babys breath and a couple lilac Roses (picture below on what it would sort of look like, but with our wedding colors)
But now I've found this lantern centerpiece I like (pic below. But with black or silver lanterns) but lanterns are so expensive that were not able to afford all the lanterns needed for the centerpieces.
Also. I like this little bucket centerpiece and I would probably put one in the middle of each rectangle banquet table and then have two of the same centerpieces on each side since each set of tables should have 3 centerpieces
Is this too crazy? Should I just stick to one centerpiece? Have 3 different ones wont cost us much more than just sticking to the one!

You can absolutely mix it up. It's pretty common to see a mix of two or three table styles. Our wedding is completely mixed with no two tables being the same. Mismatched vases, teapots, candle sticks, etc.

If I understand you correctly, you want the love buckets in the middle and the candles at the ends? It might work, depending on the size and shape of the table. If you are able to, do a trail on a table you are using to see if it works.

I will be doing 2 to 3 different centerpieces. I feel like have a couple options that tie together looks better than them all being exactly the same.

You can definitely have a variety of centerpieces! We have three, a high, medium, and low option.

I don't think it's crazy at all. Our florist actually recommended 3 different kinds of centerpieces and that is what we are doing!

Go for a mix if you think it looks nice! We originally had three centerpiece options, unfortunately the DOC at our all-inclusive got mixed up and only did one style. I think it would have looked great either way! Like you, we had a mix of flowers and something with candles.

Lanterns don't need to be expensive. Five Below has them and there were a couple of threads recently bout another sources for a less expensive lantern.

We had 4 different but complimentary centerpieces: tall florals, low florals, open lanterns, and mercury glass groupings (can’t seem to find a good photo of the glass groupings).

You can do whatever you want! Our linens, my bridesmaids, and all of our centerpieces will be mismatched. I think that looks so much better than standardizing everything and having a cookie-cutter approach.

I think what you're saying will be beautiful Smiley smile

They are all real flowers. I didn’t put them together myself - I had a fantastic florist that handled all centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, and two large arrangements that were at the ceremony and then moved to flank each side of the cake. I simply gave her my budget and general color scheme but in order to save money did not have specific preferences for types of flowers so she was able to use what was cost effective and in season. My venue had the lanterns and mercury glass available for rent.

I think the mason jars and lanterns will totally work together! It’s pretty common to mix up centerpieces.
