Wear whatever you want to wear. It's your wedding. Not theirs.

Contrary to popular belief, white does not signify 'purity' (puh-lease). Wear whatever you want Smiley smile

Wear whatever color you want! Wedding gowns weren't traditionally white and the 'white for purity' shit is just that lol.

Just because you have a child doesn't mean you can't wear a white gown.

As Miss Manners says, "The wedding dress is no to be considered an advertisement of the goods within"-- wear whatever you want.

Here is a paragraph from Wikipedia:

A white wedding is a traditional formal or semi-formal wedding originating in Britain.

The term originates from the white colour of the wedding dress, which first became popular with Victorian era elites after Queen Victoria wore a white lace dress at her wedding. However, the term now also encapsulates the entire Western wedding routine, especially in the Christian religious tradition, which generally includes a ceremony during which the marriage begins, followed by a reception.

Wearing white has nothing to do with purity. The queen started the trend.

LMAO @ Emmy! Best sentence of the evening.

If you want to wear white, wear white. If you want to wear a veil, wear a veil. It's a bridal look not a virgin look, although it is inspired by it from back in the day. It has now morphed into typical bridal wear.

Ivory and white really aren't that different. In fact, many brides today who wear "white" dresses are actually in ivory.
