Melissa, on March 20, 2012 at 2:06 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 28

Hello everyone,

Anyone have any tips on the best places to buy votives and clear glass candle holders? Looking for the most cost effective places. Any suggestions welcome!

See picture below for size and style.

Thanks!

I bought mine on ebay from a seller called quickcandles. You might also check dollar tree or walmart.

They ship them to your local store for free and you just pick them up.

I have weird allergies, so I went with clear glass that I bought at Michaels on sale. They come in a box of 12. I bought the candles from Bed Bath and Beyond. They have a cotton wick and burn slowly and never make me gag.

Quickcandles through Amazon.com. I paid (not sure if this is THE BEST or not) but I paid $17.99 of 72 purple votive candles (putting them in glossy colored mason jars) and $39.99 for 72 white votives with a clear glass holder. I am doing candy in mason jars also on the tables and some with flowers (not many)...

Go scentless for the table centerpieces.

    Real or battery-powered?

Lots of great ideas. I would add to the list.. look in places you typically would not expect to find wedding things. Second hand stores and online are good, with a little creativity and time you can make something from the dollar store look expensive.
