Candles at a morning wedding?

Allison, on May 11, 2017 at 4:13 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

We originally wanted an evening wedding with candles and lights, but we found the perfect venue, for way cheaper and need to do a morning wedding because of their time requirements. I hate to give up on my candle dream, but would it look weird to have candles down the aisle or on tables if we are talking 10am-4pm ish?

My mom will put out candles for Thanksgiving, which is a daytime/afternoon thing. I don't think it would be weird!

Completely acceptable in my opinion. Candles help set a mood any time of day.

I'm doing candles in the tables for my 11-3 reception..

Are you doing a DJ? I'm uncertain of that....

I think candles are wonderful at all times of the day! Besides, everyone looks better by candlelight - fact! Something about candles for me really transcends time. If your venue is an indoor setting, I can imagine being in a candlelit atmosphere midday and completely losing myself in it and forgetting what time of day it is. Then I walk outside and realize oh wow - it's still daylight. It will be almost like you transported your guests to a different time and place. Who doesn't want that kind of magic for their wedding day.

TLDR - light your candles girl!

Totally fine. I see them all the time at weddings at any time.

Remember that the light in the early fall is very different than right now. The angle of the sun and shorter days make the light softer. Enjoy your candles!

We had our wedding during the same timeframe and used lanterns and candles as our centerpieces
