Candles during outdoor daytime reception

The flames won't be visible in photos and barely visible in person.

Nay! Maybe do something in place of candles, like a colorful little origami flower or something like that (or just normal flowers). What other décor are you having?

Outdoor? No. Indoor? Yes.

I was leaning towards nay too but thought that maybe they might still look nice? I dunno. I am having such a hard time thinking about centerpieces that aren't just flowers (we have basically have no budget for flowers unfortunately).

Origami flowers might work! So far we have nothing planned for decor. I know FMIL would probably make bunting if I asked her to, and I have a vintage birdcage to incorporate somehow. That's basically it as far as decor goes at this point haha

Do you have a theme or color scheme?

I think candles would still look nice as decorations if they had some sort of nice design around them? Like these:

Oooh so we actually do have a colour scheme kind of now based off our invitations plus white/ivory and gold.

I like the idea of wrapping candles!

How late are you going to be outside, if your wedding is done before the sun goes down it may not make any sense to have them lite

Ours is a lunch reception starting at 1:00 and ending around 4/4:30.

I was looking online at some weddings photos that had candles for a daytime receptions and they looked elegant but kind of impractical.
