Who is having a candy buffet at the reception? & if you are having it, what candy are you putting out there? I wanted to do it, but FH said NO WAY ... I was going to put some Extreme Sour candy, some lollipops, M&M, & Hershey chocolate, & whatever else I can find, but he said NO WAY .. what are you...

The presentation plays a HUGE role in the candy bar; a simple M&M can make you believe you're eating a Lindorf truffle!!!! These bars are fantastic ladies!

We are doing "cheap" candy...according to your FH! Some dollar store candy, hard maple syrup candy, candy corn, M&M's and Reese's peanut butter cups. If you already have the candy, I don't see the issue. If he wants friggin Godiva candy, tell him HE can pay for it.....that's insane!

I think you should SHOW him this thread. It doesn't have to be Godiva to be fabulous! I worked at a Godiva when I was younger, the mark up is RIDICULOUS! The employee discount is 50% because they KNOW it is so friggin marked up!

If I were a guest at your wedding i would be equally excited to have hersheys candy drops and almond joy bars than godiva! In fact i would probably try to steal all the almond joy bars....

You can do candy from your childhood, or just you and FH's fave candy. It doesn't have to break the bank to be awesome.

Also check out pintrest for more visuals for him. People can make them look amazing and believe me, the candy will be eaten! Smiley smile

@kris thanks! I know im going to regret trying to make most of them but they are so friggin cute! Smiley xd

I love love love the candy bars!!! I wanted to have one but something really had to give so unfortunatley that was it! But I was at a wedding that had one and I loved it being in their wedding colors and such unique old fashion candy and of course the true favorites. I wonder why he is against it. Has he seen how elegant it can be done? Maybe he does not understand the whole concept.

Thank you ladies for all those awesome pictures & ideas. Today I went to Home Goods and bought bunch of different size vases (OMG I LOVEEEE Home Goods!! I'm addicted to it now, which is a HUGE problem! lol) anyway, bought the vases, brought it home, but left it in the trunk.

then while he was making dinner, I went on Google images & showed him pics of Candy buffet & asked him what he thought of some? & he said it looks NICE if its in a vases. so thats when I was like.

"WTH did U think I was going to put it in?"

He thought I was going to leave it in the bags or something. I'm seriously?

so now he is all for it. haha. I can not wait to do it. I'm super excited now.

But all your ideas & pictures ladies are beautiful!!! I'm going to steal some of these ideas! Oh yeah my BM came to our house today & she thought I was INSANE with all the crap I have here for the wedding..
