Can't Hang Decorations

Cheyenne, on April 10, 2018 at 1:55 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

My venue is very strict about decorations - absolutely no candles/open flame, no tacks or tape on the walls, and nothing scattered such as glitter, petals, or bird seed. They said I could use the easy clean-up command hooks and maybe some painter's tape because those won't damage the walls, and they allow things to be hung from the lights in the ceiling. With these rules in place, I need to figure out how to hang my "chandeliers" (see picture). My mom and I spent hours making the chandeliers like this one I found on pinterest and they are beautiful, but I'm not sure how I can hang them up. Any ideas?

What does the ceiling of your venue look like? Can you tie them to beams in the roof with twine?

They also have command hooks that are like plant holder type hooks. Maybe look into getting some of those? Or if your venue is like the picture do as PP said and tie them around and use flameless led candles.

Does the venue have ceiling beans?? It's hard when I can't see the venue itself but Maybe you can use heavy duty clear fishing wire or Floral wiring?

Look up Tommy Tape. A friend’s husband works for the company and we used it to decorate for their wedding. It’s tape that only sticks to itself - you can wind it around things to hold them in place without sticking it to the beam or column.

It's pretty hard to give a practical answer without knowing what your venue looks like.
Are you using remote controlled battery operated tea lights in your chandeliers? If not you need some way to lower then raise the chandelier so someone can turn them all on individually.
If you have beams you can string a wire from one to another. You may have to use cable tighteners so the wire doesn't sag.
You said you are allowed to hang things from the lights, so depending on what they look like, you could hang them below the lights.
Post a pic of your venue if you want more specific help.

It's a small picture but this is the main room. No beams unfortunately. I'm allowed to hang things on the lights but most of them are recessed into the ceiling.
