Can't locate the plants we want

Liz, on March 16, 2021 at 2:20 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8
Ok guys... I've exhausted my abilities to find this. We want to use dried Lunaria aka Silver Dollar plants for our centerpieces. We found a handful of people on etsy selling it, but their supplies are SUPER limited. Not to mention astronomical shipping costs, that would add up to more than the cost of the plants when spread around to multiple sellers. I can't find anyone reputable that is selling this wholesale. I even called around to local florists with no luck. We also do not have a florist hired for the wedding as all other flowers are origami.. Any ideas on where to find this? I've included pictures on what the plant looks like and the bottles we're using for the centerpieces. After thinking about this plant I can't imagine using anything else.

Have you looked at OregonCoastalFlowers.com? They look like a local place with a poorly designed website lol.

Well crap, they do offer them but are currently sold out like every other place in the world. But now I at least have context. Apparently they're a 2 year plant and they don't do the silver thing until late summer and are harvested and processed in the fall... I'm not going to find them for my summer wedding Smiley cry

That sucks! Could you try making something similar with textured/tissue paper and wire?
