Your wedding photographer is a great resource when scouting a back up indoor photo location. If he/she is local, they often have great ideas and suggestions of where to take photos.

We have, but the photographer isn't necessarily "local". A lot of the places he suggested aren't able to accommodate us for that day, or are outside locations. We have the ideal outside location, but are looking for an indoor location to use as a "back up" in case of rain.

Will your reception be indoors? If it doesn't have a nice indoor area, perhaps it may have a sister venue (like hotels have sister hotels) that has a nice area for photos?

That's a fantastic idea. It does have a fairly nice inside that we can make work. But I might look in to see if they have any sister hotels that would work as well.
