Canvas Guestbook

Private User, on September 15, 2016 at 8:32 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 11

Out guestbook is going to be our picture on a canvas and people sign around it. I'm trying to figure out what the best pen would be. Someone at Michael's said a gel pen, but I'm not convinced. Anyone do this before?

We are doing a tree on canvas. The shop on Etsy recommended a fine tip sharpie.

We got a tree canvas from etsy and we got black fine tip sharpies! I think as long as I test them before and they start to write there shouldn't be any issues Smiley smile

Fine tip sharpies are going to be the most reliable.

Sharpie! But don't do the ball point sharpie.. go with sharpie pen... my cousin had the wood with leaves to sign, they used the sharpie ball point and it smeared .. even after drying for a bit, it seemed everyone's hands smeared it..

Bring several super-fine tip Sharpies. They will work, but when they write on a porous surface they dry out a bit and need a moment to "recharge," which is why I say several. You can get a pack in multiple colors or just one. :-)

We did a gel pen that the etsy shop suggested. We then bought cheap canvas from Michaels to test the pens.

A sharpie would be the best to use on canvas
