Card Box - Should I be worried??

My FH and I went to get this cute card box that looks like a suitcase. The suitcase will be open and sitting on top of a wine barrel. Well, my dad made me paranoid after we showed him the suitcase card box. He was saying that it'll be easy for people to steal the suitcase and the cards and I should have something bigger or harder for people to potentially steal. My FH and I were also thinking that the suitcase idea would be practical because we can just close the suitcase and put it away somewhere instead of having some huge, heavy card box to carry somewhere. Our venue is also at a winery out in the country, so there would probably be a reduced risk of someone stealing the cards I think. Plus, we were thinking of having someone (either someone from the wedding party or one of the staff) watch the suitcase card box until everyone has gone through the receiving line. What do you guys think? Should I be worried about someone stealing it? Where do people usually put their card box after?

I was also very paranoid about our card box before the wedding, especially since I saw a segment on Live PD about a women hitting up weddings to steal the gifts (she was ultimately caught). I thought about weighting the box down with a brick inside but then extra security was one of the minute details I overlooked right before the wedding. So I guess we lucked out that our card box was untampered with!

Some of the sites recommended having the brides maids or best man occasionally collect the cards if they are left in an unlocked box. That way, if someone is rude enough to steal from the box, they won't get the whole thing.

Out venue has a glass box and it has a camera on it so it’s videoed if something does go wrong.

We have yet to decide on where to put our gifts/card box. I think we will have a room after the main entrance to make sure no random people run in and out. Otherwise, later in the night we have our private room to store everything in so we can all mingle without worrying about thefts.
Granted we all don't know what people may or may not do but I would try to find a place that someone can keep an eye on the card box or a place that is wide open so no one has an urge to even think about taking the cards.
If you know for 100% no one at your wedding or anyone at/going to the winery that day won't steal the suitcase, then the Suitcase idea is a great one! If you have any doubts, put it in a good area so won't worry all night!
