Cardstock for Escort Cards

MrsMitch , on July 6, 2017 at 8:48 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 15

Where did you all buy cardstock for escort cards? I went to Office Depot last night and the only option they had were Avery but the paper was very lightweight and kind of flimsy. The reviews for that particular card were horrible also.

I used Avery 5877 for business cards. I have a box on my desk if you want/need I can send you some Smiley smile

Trying very hard not to use "I see how you are."

Thanks Nonna! I'll check the 5877 out. The ones in the store yesterday were 5302. So sweet of you to offer to send me some :-)

I'm down to the wire and lots of people are "seeing how I am" lately!

I haven't purchased them but I did buy invite paper products from LCI paper company. I don't know if you have time to wait for an online order, but I was very happy with their service!

Michaels has good cardstock! sometimes it's on sale for like 5/$10 (littler packs) - but if you don't catch it on sale, you can use a coupon!

ETA - it's not on sale but there is a 40% off coupon floating around online

Hm... we used Avery. I think I bought them either at Michaels or Walmart. Its just an escort card, how thick do you need the paper to be??

Joann Fabrics will have cardstock as well! Like Michaels, either keep an eye out for a sale or snag a coupon. I believe they take competitor coupons as well (depending on what stores are near you). AC Moore has cardstock too!

@annakay511 Thick enough for the card to stand up on the table. The Avery 5302 cardstock was very flimsy and when I pulled up the reviews, people specifically stated the cards didn't stand up.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'll be making a trip to Michael's after work!

I thought about that Mrs. Fall Bride but I already spent a pretty decent amount on invites, detail cards, rsvp cards, programs, menus, and table numbers. All via Wedding Paper Divas or Minted. I figured Escort Cards were the one thing I could take time to DIY... I'll look at the cost difference though for convenience purposes.

I got creampuff card stock from cards and pockets and printed on those. I used the same paper for my invites so it tied in nicely Smiley smile
