Carnations and Mums

Maci, on April 20, 2012 at 10:42 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15

I was thinking about using light pink carnations and green mums for my bouquet. I am just having a hard time finding some examples. I think next week I will head to the store and get a bouquet of both and do my own.

A mix of these two.

I love carnations and mums! Am going to have a few pink carnations in memory of my mother - they were her favorite flowers!

Not only great but inexpensive, and durable.

I am also using at least some green mums, I may have lilies with them or else perhaps colourful gerber daisies.

I love carnations and the green mums. They both last a long time and are inexpensive for me to buy and do myself.

I absolutely love green mums, I'm doing purple and green in my bouquets and definitely will use the mums. They add such a great pop of color contrast

You should look into the green carnation, it is not a standard carnation, it is very different, but they are awesome. I will look for a picture for you. Ok, I found one, they are so cute and the fuzzy look they have really softens things up. I've done several bridal bouquets with them, they are beautiful.

@Abiti Thanks for that pic of the carnations. It gives me an idea for my bouqet (sp?) since I do have a preference for them Smiley smile I'm just not good with flowers, so I don't know how they are "supposed" to look. I liked the way those came together.

Those green carnations look like the trees from the Lorax.
