I've been looking into getting married on carnival cruise. Its all inclusive and you can have up to 50 guest on the ship and following, cruise honeymoon. Has anyone had a wedding on carnival cruise? What was your experience?

I actually just booked my cruise wedding. We're sailing on the Carnival Conquest on April 25, 2020 and we have about 47-50 people sailing with us. I think only one or two people will be attending and not sailing.

We were up front with the people we wanted to invite. We haven't sent out "official" save the dates, because we wanted people to be able to book during the deposit discount sale, so we started a facebook group and laid everything out for them. We explained that we only have a limited number of non-sailing guests allowed, and people took it really well. About half of the people that are sailing decided to do that so we could keep that allowance open for people with small kids, or the older crowd.

I'm LOVING the cruise wedding planner. She's so attentive and easy to work with. She's walked me through everything and it's taking a lot of the stress out of it.

We have quite a few single cruisers, so what I did was play "matchmaker". I have a spreadsheet full of people's budgets and room preferences, along with whether they are a drinker or not. When two people have the same wants in a room, I started a facebook message with the both of them in it, and let them take it from there. So far, that's gotten 14 people their rooms.

Hi, I don't know if this will help you are not but thought I would pass on the info. We just booked our Carnival wedding for May 2019, out of New Orleans. We are doing a port wedding before we set sail. Carnival offers a great honeymoon registry and free wedding website. I never saw why women would have a wedding websites but after playing around on Carnival's site I was happy I found it. We are like you where we have about 80-90 people we want to invite. We already have 14 people booked to sail with us. Here is what we are doing. On the front of my Save The Date is says our names and the date. Under that it says "New Orleans, LA" and under that I put "See Reverse side". On the back this is what it looks like: See blow it would not let me copy and paste it here.

This is not the final draft so please do look at it as complete. Anyway, on the website I put a link to the cruise we are taking so everyone can check it out and book if they would like. There is a place on the website that the can RSVP. They can even buy wedding gifts that you chose to help you with the cost of your honeymoon. I feel most people who do plan to attend will RSVP when they get the Save The Date. Then I will send out official invites three months before the wedding. I personal feel if I have to turn someone away they will understand since it says space is limited! I love the Carnival honeymoon registry and free wedding website you should check it out. The other option we thought about was sending out invites only to the people we really want to be there, our top 50 non-sailing guest. Then when we get back send out an announcement. For us I know a lot of the people we invite live out of town and wont make it. However, I am from LA so a lot of my family will come.

I just booked my wedding on Carnival Valor for May of 2020. Did anyone bring additional decorations for the cake or for the wedding venue? I have emailed my wedding coordinator to ask about the cake table and if I am allowed to bring supplementary decorations for the table but have not gotten a response. I do not want all of the white decorations and am hoping I am able to bring just a few things along to make my wedding a little more personal.

    Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

I got engaged on the valor and married on the vista about two weeks ago. I’m waiting on my pics to come in before I give my full review but I was able to bring almost four boxes of decorations, I also drew pictures of how I wanted everything decorated and the coordinators did a excellent job of making it happen. You just have to designate people to carry the boxes on and take them to the venues you to be decorated. Any other questions I’ll be happy to answer.
