Cascading vs. Round Bouquet. Why did you pick one or the other?

As I am starting to look at flowers for the big day with my florist, I am trying to decide between a cascading bouquet versus a round bouquet. Why did you chose the one you picked? Pictures appreciated please!!

Comparison photo! Mine was sort of round, but it was designed to look loose and had pieces of greenery that make it cascade a little without making me look too short. I wanted it to have this garden-y, almost freshly picked look, especially since I really dislike the hard, round balls of roses. Bridesmaids had loose round bouquets in a similar feel with no cascades

My bouquet looks something like this!! We're getting married in a garden/park area, super small intimate setting. I'm not very traditional so I like the wild flower, unorganized aesthetic of my bouquet... it fits my personality

I'm going with a natural looking loose round. I like the look of cascading, but I've heard some horror stories of them falling apart if they aren't done right. I have some heavy flowers, so I wanted to be safe.

I did round because I didn't want a huge bouquet. Most cascading ones are really large. I'm also. 5'0" so a big bouquet just wouldn't working

Mine was a loose round-ish. I wanted it to look like a natural bunch.

My florist recommended "hand gathered" which resembles what some have called "loose round" I wanted something casual and not too uptight, which is how I feel the super round ones look. The cascades are cool but I didn't think it went well with my dress.

@patmat, agreed! I hate the round, round bouquets and I'm lot a huge fan of cascade. I'm going with something like the picture

I don't want a round bouquet, but don't want a cascading one either. My florist was able to help me find one that's a happy medium. She sent me that picture and I'm super happy with her suggestion.

I love the cascading look-- when can you ever really have that type of bouquet? You can always hold a traditional bouquet if you are a bridesmaid in a wedding but there's something special about a cascading one!

I had button bouquets- I don't know why- they look so stuffy to me. And choked.

Being said- bouquets- can get HEAVY- you're lugging that bitch around for almost 4 hours. and it doesn't "set" well- meaning when you set it down- it's always kind of at a wonky angle unless you have a good vase/thing to hold it up right for you.

Being said- I wanted a moderately structured cascade- but not big- b/c A. budget and B. heavy.

(Keep in mind cascades tend to be significantly more expensive as well. )

    this was mine....

I like the fullness of a round shaped bouquet. It feels more put together to me. Cascading bouquets can be pretty but I always feel like the flowers are spilling / falling out of the arrangement.

This is what I gave to my florist to recreate for my wedding.

I'm doing loose round. Evasive being only 5'4" and not wearing heels holding a cascade made me feel short and dumpy.

My bouquet was cascading. I didn't really choose it over round for any reason... I just saw some gorgeous bouquets on Pinterest and they happened to be cascading. I loved it and got several compliments that night!
