Cascading vs. Round Bouquet. Why did you pick one or the other?

As I am starting to look at flowers for the big day with my florist, I am trying to decide between a cascading bouquet versus a round bouquet. Why did you chose the one you picked? Pictures appreciated please!!

Mine was round, but I didn't give a lot of direction to the florist besides multi colored and that I don't know anything about flowers.

I don't know anything about flowers. All I know is that I wanted sunflowers. I then just sort of picked cascading without even knowing what it was because that's just how I roll. In fact, I didn't even know what a cascade bouquet was until seeing this thread.

I'm doing a round bouquet with hanging amaranthus around the base. I love the look of cascading bouquets but was afraid it would look overwhelming against my frame.

I hate round bouquets because it just seems too unnatural for me. I'm a big fan of wild flowers, so I love big messy bunches of wilderness. I picked a bunch of flowers that are grown locally in my state (especially the ones my grandma used to grow), and asked my florist to go at it! This photo was part of my inspiration (I am having all these flowers, plus snap dragons and dahlias, in my bouquet).

I will be holding a round bouquet. I like the structure, simplicity and elegance of it.

I chose cascading. I went with this as inspo but requesting a few more flowers and longer cascading effect.

I am doing a cascade. I like the look and am going for something dramatic. Although not the colors i will have - here is my inspiration picture.

I chose sort of a cross between the two, I like the softer lines of something not perfectly round. Its more romantic Smiley smile

I would say mine was a loose round as well? I found several different styles on Pinterest and this was the winner. It actually turned out better than my inspo picture.

I will second @JoRocka. Bouquets can get heavy. I was ready to sit mine down at the reception after holding it during photos, the ceremony, and then more photos.

I've asked my florist for the flowers and coloring of the bouquet on the right, but smaller like Jackie Kennedy's which is on the left.

I decided against cascading because if you don't hold it just the right way then it wouldn't look right and thought that would be a little annoying. My florist calls this style garden style, it's like a loose round bouquet. This is a pic from my bridal portraits and will be what my bouquet looks like. After seeing how much even this covered my dress, I'm def glad I went this direction instead of cascading.

I walk with a cane so I can't hold a bouquet in both hands. I'm going to have a pageant bouquet that I can carry with one arm. Inspiration:

Oh @Abby P.! That is a wonderful idea having a pageant style. Those were very popular in the early 1900's. I love that look!

I like the looser or cascading look. I can't stand the look of the tight, round ball of flowers. It looks so unnatural to me.
