Cash gifts from wedding in downtown Chicago?

My fiance and I are getting married in June 2020 in the heart of downtown Chicago (riverfront). It's expensive but we really wanted our guests (some of which will be from out of town) to have an excellent experience in Chicago! We're only having about 125 guests @ $230/pp for food and drink, so it's relatively pricey. I'm curious to hear how much in cash gifts people received (who also got married in downtown Chicago) from their guests at their wedding. Any thoughts?

We're getting married next March! Congratulations on wedding planning - it sounds like you're really looking to have guests have an amazing experience in Chicago!
I can't speak for how much cash people received from their weddings but I will say that if you are looking to get more cash than physical gifts, consider not making a registry or having a very small registry!
Hopefully someone who got married in downtown chicago can chime in and answer your questions!

Sarah, where are you getting married? We are getting married downtown on 5/9/20 - and it is SO expensive!
