Casting Bridezillas--scam?

Nicollette, on September 13, 2018 at 9:03 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

I was contacted last night through a text message that one of the casting directors of Bridezillas found my Honeyfund page and asked if I wanted to apply. Does this seem fishy to you? The application asks for details such as names, your facebook link, instagram link, and any drama you might be going through during wedding planning. Should I be wary? Also, I know that the show portrays brides as crazy but compensation would be nice if it helps pay for our wedding or honeymoon so I was thinking of looking into it but wanted to know if other brides have been contacted and what they think. Thanks yall!

Do a little research. Look up the Bridezilla application process. If they say they DO contact people like that ok. I would contact them and send the info- number/text screenshot to them.
If it ISN'T them they should be aware so as to stop the person/people who are scamming.

I’d be mortified if anyone thought I was a prospective candidate for that show.

I wouldn't even consider applying for that show. It is awful and the brides are awful. There is no winning in that.

Ugh I love watching that show but I'd never want to be on it. They definitely bait you into being crazier than you are and edit it to make you look even worse (that's why the show is so fun to watch) I literally still remember certain brides I've seen from yearssss ago.

I'd never let them trick me into becoming a joke like that.

As much as it would be nice to have the money, you don’t want people to view you that way.

Hi Nicolette! I agree with Jennifer, have you done any research on how they recruit people for their show? If it's legitimate and if this is something you'd be interested in being part of, it's completely up to you and your fiancé(e).

I haven't watched the show. I just knew they make brides look crazy dramatic but I dont know of anyone who watches it that would even know we were on it (if its real and we were chosen). lol I have seen through a google search that they are casting for 2018 and there are other forums posted on other websites of girls in the past asking about it. Maybe I should just pick up some more overtime instead of adding more drama to my life, though. I don't want to look over the top or have the day ruined.
