Caterer appointment

There isn't really much to prepare, but I would make sure to ask about the accommodations for allergies/specialty diets such as vegan/vegetarian, gluten-free, or kosher if those are applicable. I would also ask about vendor meals and their cost. If you're doing a plated meal, do they need precounts or can guests order at the table?

Is it a food tasting? If so, don't eat much beforehand, we had ours recently and we had four other family members with us (our venue said we could have up to 4) and it really helped to have other opinions so that we could account for other peoples preferences. I had a list of questions related to both the meal itself and the venue (since our venue is the caterer as well), some of the food specific ones were about vegetarian options, food allergies/restrictions, what any kids meals consisted of, how long our buffet is up and how long in between the buffet and the dessert table, etc. A lot of things are just logistical, and they told us that when we have our final meeting 3 weeks before the wedding date, we'd nail down all of those details (we'd know who the food accommodations would be for bc rsvps would be in by then, how many kids etc)
