Catering company giving us an issue

Hi guys!

We are getting married in 18 days! After having to postpone a year ago we are so excited our day is finally here.
When we postponed we pushed all of our vendors our a year. They were all willing to work with us and have been pleasant leading up to the wedding. Lately though the catering company has been giving us an issue. I have a day of coordinator who has been calling all the vendors and making a day of schedule. The catering company spoke to her once and had a question about set up. The coordinator spoke with our venue, but then could never get a hold of the ceterers again. She left 3 voicemails and then we were going to call. Before we had time to they finally called her back and my coordinator said they were very rude to her. My fiancée called just to confirm things on our end, take out the middle man, and also got a voicemail with no call back. When we originally booked it was with someone else who was very friendly and helpful. They said he no longer works for the company so I know nothing about these new people. It's too late to find new caterer and we have already paid half. The way they are acting make me very nervous and I have not paid the second half yet due to this. They did confirm a time with the coordinator though.Should I be worried? What would you do, or did you have a similar situation? It's a local company that makes Mexican food and is well known in the community.

Was the business sold or is it just a new employee you are dealing with?

I personally would get on the phone to them and email them and express your concerns so as to ask them to provide reassurance regarding the booking going as planned.

It's owned by the same people but a different employee took over the catering part. They have several restaurants and grocery stores in town.

Then I would visit one of their restaurants in person and express your concerns to the manager in residence.

I would definitely speak to the manager and tell them how the new employee has been and how it's making you question if you should go a different catering company. The manager should be able to help you out.

I agree with the others. Keep calling and contacting and show up to the restaurant. Try to be friendly so they don't have a reason to be rude to you and just ask to make sure all the details are set. So sorry you have to deal with this so close to your wedding! I hope they get their act together and your food is delicious!
