Catering Help!

Kimberly_Gomez, on February 10, 2020 at 9:14 AM Posted in Texas Planning 0 2
I’m getting married in Austin Tx and I am having trouble trying to find a caterer. The venue we picked includes all the services for us so we really just need someone to drop the food off and then leave. Anybody know a catering company that doesn’t include services?

If you get catering through a restaurant there are different tiers or packages they can offer you. My FH and I are using a local restaurant for our caterer and they offered us a full service catering package where they have their staff come in, set up, serve for 2 hours, help with the cake cutting, clean up and then leave. They also offered a package where they just dropped off the food. We chose the full service b/c our venue doesn't provide servers, warmers and other items if we do not use them and their chef for catering.

If you go with a catering company and not a restaurant, it may be harder to find one that will just drop off the food. From my experience when looking for caterers, all of the ones in my area had their basic services include them staffing and serving the food. When you order from a catering company, they often want to use your wedding as promotion and want your guests to know where the food is from; at least that is what I have noticed from attending other people's weddings.

Hey there, Kimberly! Does the venue have a list of recommended vendors including caterers you can check out? They may from previous weddings!
