Catering numbers

Hi everyone. How lame guests did you account for when choosing the hors d’oeuvres? Passed and stations. I’ve heard that when doing desserts it’s best to account for at least half the guests. Does the same go for appetizers? Thanks.

    I think dessert people say you can account for less than because by then people leave or they are too full but for appetizers i would account for the full amount of people

    Agree with pp's -- assume every guest is going to eat a lot of appetizers.... Depending the timing of the ceremony & reception, the guests' travel prior to the ceremony, etc., guests will likely be hungry and/or not want to drink on an empty stomach, so do not skimp.... I've been to weddings where there clearly were not enough appetizers and it was not pretty! Smiley winking
