I'm not Catholic, but my coworker who is getting married this July is. She and her FH opted not to do the weekend, but they will be doing classes with someone from the church for a few weeks instead. Can you check with your church to see if there's that option instead of the weekend?

I am sure it varies based on which diocese you’re at but I know the retreats take place over a weekend and there’s only two different locations in SoCal, one is at Westmount in Santa Barbara and another is at a retreat center I believe in east LA. If you go to their website you can see which weekends are available and retreat centers. I just registered with my fiancé!

My FH is Catholic and we have just decided to do the weekend and not the day classes.

You should be talking with your priest/parish to help guide you to what is available in your area/affordable/required.

As mentioned above, there should also be a website with schedules.

I would talk to your priest or deacon that is helping prepare you for marriage. Ours required that we do a 3-day seminar over the course of a few weekends as well as some additional meetings with the deacon and other married couples. I'm in Indiana and every state/dioceses is different.

If you have the option, go with whatever works best for your schedule.

Call around the different parishes. We live in Santa Monica, but the prices were so high that my son and FDIL did their Pre-Cana over a few days out in Agoura for a really reasonable price.
