Catholic priest in a Lutheran church?

Dana, on July 24, 2019 at 10:09 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 5
Hello!
So my fiancé is catholic and I am Lutheran. He has a very close family friend who is a catholic priest and has done the weddings of all his relatives. I was wondering if a catholic priest is allowed to perform the ceremony in a Lutheran church? My Lutheran church is a lot closer to our venue then his.

Thank you!

I don’t think they would be able to but you can see. Catholic rules can get confusing and ranges from strictness in different regions.

The Lutheran church was formed in revolt of Catholicism. Although the congressional services are very similar, I dont think that would ever be allowed. Unfortunately alot of old world religions are still very exclusive.

The Catholic Church forbids priests from performing mass anywhere but in a church.

Um, no. I would've just said "um, no.", but my response had to be at least 10 characters.
