One thing I really want to dress up my reception is ceiling draping. Has anyone done this on their own before or bought it from somewhere and had someone install it? Any links to places to buy what I need would be great!

I would check out https://tableclothsfactory.com. Despite the name, they have all sorts of wedding decor. That's where our decorator purchased our arch and the dapers for it.

Instead of trying to do this yourself, ask your florist for recommendations. Usually the day-of coordinator team does decorating and they know where to rent/purchase materials.

Unfortunately I don't have a florist and don't have a coordinator as of now. I'm doing everything myself that I can.

You're welcome! It can be very difficult to know if something is legitimate, but we were very happy of the quality of the items we used from them. Below are a couple photos from our wedding to kind of give you an idea of the quality of their products. We didn't use them for ceiling drapes because our venue provided it.

Check with your venue. They may not allow it and if they do they may alllow only certain vendors. Ours only allowed one vendor for draping. If we wanted it we HAD to go through them.
Even if they don’t have required vendors they may be able to suggest some one.
