ceiling swag price/ worth it or not?

Jennifer, on December 19, 2011 at 11:49 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas!

My FH would really like to do a ceiling swag in our hall because we saw one at a recently attending wedding. My decorator has quoted me a price of $300 (no tax) which includes the tule, the chandelier and her putting it up and taking it down for us. Is this a fair price, good price? I am trying to decide if it is worth the extra money or not as our budget is starting to stress me out lol! Anyone had one before or got opinions?

Great price! You can always try to trim down the centerpieces or bouquets to compensate for the extra charge.

That's an amazing price for ceiling swag! I personally don't think it's worth it, but I don't care for ceiling swag.

Another great idea is to add some Christmas lights to the tulle.

My centre peices are already paid for by my mom Smiley smile Very nice surprise! So can't take form the budget there. I have eliminated the limo's from the budget so that will more than compensate for it but still. Glad to hear it is a good price though! My decorator so far is amazing with her prices.

I think that is pretty good because mine is $850

Hard to say if it is a "fair" price, that varies by region, vendor, venue and what you are actually getting. Comparing your $300 ceiling decor to the $850 price above is hard to do without knowing exactly what you are getting. If you love it and it is in your budget, go for it! There can be a lot of work involved in ceiling decor depending on the height and type of ceiling you are working with. Does your price include lights? Perhaps the $850 price does, but your $300 price does not. We have provided ceiling decor for as little as $50 and as much as $1200 depending on what exactly we are doing. When comparing prices, be sure you are comparing apples to apples!

It sounds pretty good. Ceiling swags are one of my must haves for the hall. I can compromise other things, but not the ceiling swags. LOL!

This is the ceiling treatment and chandelier we are getting for 300$

She says the ceiling drape comes in 30 foot (by 10 foot wide) panels and is therefore 60 feet wide once installed which will perfectly fit our venue
