Celibate for 1 Month Before Wedding- DO IT!

My husband and I decided when we got engaged that we would be celibate for a month before our wedding. We own a home together so it wasn't easy to do but well-worth it! We both knew the boundaries (I mean- NOTHING EXCEPT KISSING) and it wasn't too hard to stick to it. The night before the wedding we stayed in separate places and the wedding night was truly something we looked forward to! I've read many blogs where people said they were too tired for sex on their wedding night but we made sure to leave time for that. It was awesome and I'd recommend doing what we did! Then your night will be special and anticipated, instead of just another time.

Girl, more power to you for waiting but we/I can't or couldn't do it.. Our wedding night was Awesome/ Romantic and it was not just blah get it over with because I'm tired or just another night..We love eachother deeply so every time is special And Great!!

As the wedding drew closer, H and I increased our frequency. It was due to both stress relief and excitement for the big day. Since about a month before the wedding, frequency has been up as well as adventurousness. I am one happy newlywed! I thoroughly enjoyed NOT practicing celibacy.

I would be ok with it but I know FH will not. There is just no way. We will be apart the day and night before but that's it.

Haha Lynzey!!

FH decided we won't see each other for the 3 days before our marriage...so that's about as long as we're going...

We stopped having sex but for other reasons -- religious aspect and it was recommended through premartal counseling... Like Andre'ya, I also have a low sex drive...dont know why lol

To each his own. I don't know... if it wasn't for the counseling session, we prob would still be doing the deed. I think either way, it should be explosive. I don't think time period has much to do with it...just how you feel about your FH or DH and making that intimate connection. Just my opinion.

And not having sex doesn't necessarily make you a good girl... lol Given the option, I would choose to be bad any day lol
