Centerpieces for rectangle tables

Hi everyone!! I've been googling the heck out if centerpieces and I'm struggling. I'm doing a royal blue, white, and maybe a little silver wedding. We haven't really made up our mind yet on the silver. Wedding is next summer so we have some time for that. We have almost booked our venue though and they only have the rectangle tables. I do not like overly tall centerpieces. Max height for what I think is appropriate is about 15in. I'm not looking for floral arrangements (I'm not a flower person.) How many centerpieces do you put on a rectangle table that can seat between 6 to 8 people? Our reception is going to be light food, so we figure out guests will mostly be socializing and dancing versus paying too much attention to the tables. I've looked into lanterns, but it's hard to tie them into the color scheme without being nautical and that's not us either. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. I'm not sure if our venue allows candles or not at this point as we will be using their linens. I do like the battery operated string lights, but it's also hard to find a good arrangement that would make sense to me.

Thanks!!!

For an ordinary banquet table you only need one centerpiece. Sometimes people choose to extend the length by adding small arrangements, candles or chachkas on either side of the main centerpiece.

There are hundreds of ideas for non floral centerpieces on Pinterest.

Five Below often has lanterns in various styles. They don't all look nautical, You could use a string of fairy lights inside the lantern instead of the battery operated candle they come with.

I have rectangle tables... I am doing low floral centerpieces (1) per table and candles and on each end just a single rose.

I love the look of long greenery garlands plus a few short candles for rectangle tables!

We will be doing a mix of round and rectangle tables. Our centerpieces will be low floral centerpieces in gold urns. We are using a small urn on the rounds and a medium urn on the rectangle tables.

We used garlands and candles of varying heights for our rectangular tables. If you don't want to use garlands then a row of candles of varying heights and sizes would be very pretty and elegant. Most venues will allow them so long as they are contained in glass like ours were.

I would do no more than two per table. Maybe lamp or pillar candle centerpieces. You can probably find these at local thrift stores and paint if needed.
