Centerpieces that don't use flowers or candles

What are some centerpieces that I could buy/make that don't involve candles or flowers. I'm pretty sure that I can't afford flowers for the centerpieces without buying them wholesale and making them myself. That makes me nervous because that's a lot to do and transport right before the wedding. I also don't want candles because it's a daytime garden wedding, so they're not going to be in dim lighting. I'm open to making them myself because I love crafting, but I'm also open to buying them as long as they're affordable. I just want them to be pretty and not something I have to make the day before the wedding. Most of the centerpieces I see involve either candles or flowers, so I'm not sure what I can do.

ETA: I'm also not a big fan of silk flowers.

Lanterns! Just don't put candles in them, they'll still be decorative!

For the industrial.. Sans candles. Or something else there. But for ideas.

@OG Ruth - Beautiful! I love the skulls. I think it give it a bit of an edgy look to contracts with the softness of lace/flowers/white. No every one is a fan haha

What about terrariums? You could make them ahead of time with fake plants from Michaels.

I am doing mason jars that are painted with Chalk paint and ribbon around them. Or you could wrap wine bottles in twin, paint wine bottles with chalkboard paint and then they would double as table numbers. Same could be done with beer bottles

What about potted plants? You could DIY cover decor on the pots so it goes with your theme - then you can take them home and enjoy them there (or give some away to people who've been helpful or love gardening.).

Or - your bridesmaids probably won't carry their flowers around after the wedding - can you just drop them directly into a vase after the ceremony/pictures?
