Centerpieces with a live fish in it?

Hey ladies my fiance is really liking the idea of having a live fish in each of our centerpieces. Has anyone known someone who's done this or do have any advice? Good idea or bad idea? My only concern is they would smell.

Oh my god fish from a pet store can't live in a real pond. They arnt used to the bacteria. They would die upon touching the new water. That would be the worst idea ever.

How would you like to be put in a quart sized jar and set on a table surround by people starring at you? They would watch you poop and smell you.. I bet that would be pretty darn horrifying.

In all seriousness, I think this is a terrible idea, so please reconsider and not use any sort of living animal for decoration.

Bad idea. How would you like to sit at a table eating fish , with a fish swimming in front of you.

I hate it when people do this! It's stressful for the fish to be crammed into a tiny cup for decoration! These are LIVE ANIMALS! Imagine how the fish feels Smiley cry . Make your wedding cruelty-free by just using flowers and gold candles as your centrepiece, they'll look beautiful. But no fish please on your special day. tenor.gif

Thank you for reconsidering! All the ladies above made great points so I won't re-hash what's already been stated. Maybe instead of fish, look at something like live aquatic plants? water lilies and floating candles or something?
