Ceremony and Reception Dresses?

A few people acted like I was crazy when I said I'm only wearing 1 dress, and not a separate one for the reception. I figure if I'm spending over a grand on a dress, I wanna wear it allll day. What are you ladies doing? 1 or 2 dresses?

Wearing 1 dress. Can't imagine changing out of my dress into another one.

I love my dress and only want to wear that one. I think the wedding industry as well as social media and tv show, make it seem like you should do that. Just wear what you want.

One dress here. It was expensive so I'm definitely wearing it the whole.time.

I’m going to have a second dress for dancing at the reception. Multiple brides have told me I may want to change into something short and easy to dance in! Granted, I plan to do a lot of dancing and my main dress, while comfortable, is fairly restrictive in the legs (mermaid style).

I’m not going to spend more than $200 on the second dress though, and if I don’t end up changing into it I can probably wear it to some other event. It’s more for peace of mind knowing that I have the option!

I'm wearing one! I love mine. It has straps that cross in the back so I know it will be comfortable to wear. The skirt is tulle and I know I'll feel like a princess. Only 100 till I get to show it off! I cannot wait.
