This seemed like the right place to ask for ideas regarding a backdrop for our ceremony. Our site has these beautiful Grecian-style pillars covered in foliage, but sadly there is a parking lot behind the rows of pillars. I plan to put cones out the night before to keep anyone from parking in the line of vision, but I suspect we’ll also want something else between us and the parking lot. Personally I love the look of a soft opaque curtain, but the one available for rent seems a bit short and lacks a romantic drape to it (first photo). I think the white lattice is a nice look, but not quite the style and ambiance I’m going for. Any ideas? Including ideas of how to hang a longer curtain in a way that is draped and romantic (without the pole in the bottom to weight it against the wind)? We’re getting married in June in central Michigan, so I don’t expect a lot of wind unless there’s a storm blowing in.
