Ceremony Decor… Help!!!

Becca, on December 6, 2022 at 10:23 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 1
So, my fiancé and I are eloping/having a micro ceremony in March and while we won’t have tons of people in attendance (we have both done the huge white wedding before, wasn’t our thing, and are having a lavish honeymoon instead). That said, we ARE going to decorate and have photos taken to commemorate!

I found a stunning chapel nearby, and am leaning towards lanterns and petals down the aisle, and lanterns and ivory flowers at the front. The other idea is to find a large cross to decorate at the front but I’m not sure if that’ll tie in or take away from the window.
I am spinning my wheels going back and forth.

If you have ideas, please let me know! Bonus points if it isn’t crazy pricey 🤣

Hi Becca. I would reach out to the chapel coordinators to see what is allowed. My Church did not allow petals, and doubt they would do live flame. If the space is already colorful and decorated, I would lean into that, and just add flowers up at the altar. Perhaps you can rent pedestals from your florist. If you'd like to add to the aisle itself, you can tie cloth sashes, flowers, every other row to save costs. This will also encourage persons to sit up front instead of spreading out.

Perhaps also try not to bring too much in, as what goes in, must certainly be taken out. Good luck.
