Ceremony Decorations in a Banquet Room... HELP!

Brittany, on March 8, 2014 at 1:18 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

We're getting married in a banquet hall. The ceremony and reception will be in the same room, but separated by a removable wall. Since the room is basically a blank canvas, I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with decorating ideas. The venue will be providing really pretty chairs for guests for the ceremony (tables, chairs, tablecloths, and flatware for the reception) but otherwise the room is empty. They have a wedding arch I can use, but I still haven't seen a picture of it. I really don't have any idea where to start with decorations... My colors are hot pink and orange. I loveee sparkles/bling, and I'm using gerber daisies as my primary flower. My niece is giving me a ton of leftover tulle from her wedding, but I don't have a clue what to do with that either... I was thinking about tying bows on the chairs that are on the center aisle. Maybe tulle and flowers on the wedding arch? Any ideas?? Pleaseee help!!!

Do you have a pinterest account? Pinterest will have any idea you can think of. You can even type in Hot pink and Orange wedding decor and it will pull it all up. Here are a few ideas from pinterest.

Yes, curtains do wonders! We just did the Newland Barn and the walls are dirty and the whole inside was very challenging….I used Level Wedding and the drapes were beautiful transforming the room so that our do it yourself decor would stand out!

We just did a wedding with pipe and drape and texture lighting that helped flip the room from the ceremony to reception. Combination of wireless uplights, a photo backdrop that we got off Amazon with white muslin, and two large texture light patterns flanking the stage. Works well to make it not feel like an air wall. Then we moved the texture lights next tot he sweetheart table for the reception later on. Airwall's are like blank canvas's, great to "paint" on them with lighting.

UPLIGHTING!!! Basically like spotlights with a gel overlay in your color, that stands against a wall & shines up, making a dramatic statement. I'm doing this with magenta overlays. It's subtle yet dramatic.
