Hello everyone,

I need help when it comes to the actual ceramony and aisle way decorations i am drawing a blank on how to do it without it looking like too much or it being too crowded with people and decorations. My wedding is indoors and its a beautiful barn like place that has twinkle lights already in place a chairs for everyone to sit in and theres a few wine barrells i am alowed to use in my decorating as well. Anyone ideas?

I would use Pintrest to get inspiration pics. Find ideas you like and incorporate them into your venue. The interest is probably you best option for inspiration

    Good luck!

I agree that Pinterest is a good place to start. Also, look up your venue on social media and see if they've posted pictures of other weddings they've held there. You can maybe get some design inspiration from couples who have already hosted a wedding there. In terms of decor, I'm more of a "less is more" kind of person. If it's beautiful on its own, I wouldn't go crazy with decorations and instead let the natural beauty of the venue shine through. Decor is an accent, not the main attraction.

I just want to say don’t stress over this detail. I had tulle and flowers for the pews and forgot them. All I had was flowers at the alter and it was perfect. No one complained about lack of decor and I didn’t even care as I walked down the isle.
Peruse Pinterest, choose something simple you like and then move on. It sounds lovely as is with the string lights. Maybe some arrangements at the alter area and then you could put the barrels are the start of the isle with small arrangements on them.

I am also more of a "less is more" kinda girl. It sounds like it's already beautiful on its own. I personally think aisle decorations can be too much and not many people don't pay attention to them (at least I never do). I would probably do some sort of archway or backdrop behind you guys and that's about it. But I also like Hanna's idea to look up pictures of previous weddings at your venue to get ideas!

Agree with others suggestions on Pinterest but yes, sometimes, less is more. It already sounds like a beautiful place with lights and the wine barrels. Perhaps add some flowers and draping for the arch if there is going to be an arch. If not, lanterns works great too.

Flower arrangements on two barrels framing where you will stand! I love that look.

If you already have a pretty venue and decent chairs, I feel like aisle decorations are kinda overkill and get enjoyed for such a short portion of your entire event. If you have the budget or a vision you really love, go for it, but I don't think aisle decorations are at all necessary if the aesthetic is already nice to begin with. It's just another way to spend money.

Do you have a visual focus for the area where you will do your vows, such as an arbor or archway or other backdrop? If not, I would focus more on creating visual interest there and less on what is happening in the aisle. An arbor/arch of some kind, or two large planters with sweeping foliage could be really pretty.
