Ceremony Music

Alexandra, on December 31, 2021 at 4:41 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4

Hello, we will be having a ceremony at church. Music is to be provided by us. I am curious in what ways people have played music? Simple Spotify playlist or live band? Help please!!

If you are marrying in a church, find out first what the music restrictions are. Some churches have strict requirements that only hymns are allowed. Other churches are more lax and allow classical music but not modern. They may also require you to use their musicians. Before you pick a song you love, find out what out what you are allowed to use.

I love live music. I think it makes the ceremony special. You can hire just about any kind of musician - violinist, guitarist, pianist (probably better if church has a piano you can access). Look through the WW vendor search and see what's available in your area. You can get good ideas searching for weeding ceremony music on YouTube. I really like A Thousand Years but my fiance is set on Canon D. We might have both - one to start the procession and the other for when the bride starts walking down the aisle.

I hope your wedding is amazing!! Church weddings are always beautiful to me! We just hired a DJ that does it all ceremony cocktail hour and the reception so that works out. So I believe we will have a playlist.. I always thought about having a violinist playing would be nice.. Maybe that's an idea you could use... I still may use violinist, something is so regal too me about that might fit in at a church wedding... it just depends on your theme!
