Hi Cheyenne! We had parents and grandparents walk down to Somewhere Over the Rainbow by IZ. Vitamin String Quartet “Home” is beautiful too. If you’re looking for something more traditional “Canon D” or Ave Maria - Bach would be fitting ❤️

What are you having for your bridesmaids / you to walk in to? I think it works best if all the music is in a similar style so everything works together.

If you are having a bridal party then I would have them walk down the aisle to the same song.

We had the grandparents walk down the aisle to an instrumental version of A Thousand Years. We chose The Piano Guys version.

Nice combination! ‘Memories by Maroon 5 is basically based on Canon in D, and there are some lovely instrumental versions of that. I think it could really work to have parents come in to that, and then transition to the Canon in D for bridesmaids. The Canon in D forms a pair with a Gigue in D, which is a bit more upbeat. Again, it would work really well to have parents come into that and then Bridesmaids to the Canon. And I agree with Veronica, you could also have parents come in to the same music as your bridesmaids.

I did not think about this at all!! I only have music for bridal party and music for me to walk down the aisle. The rest is just a playlist of songs no special order and not coordinated when anyone is seated at the ceremony

Usually you choose prelude music for the seating. The seating of the grandmother, with grandfather behind the usher and GM, followed by seating of the mothers, each with spouse or SO right behind usher and mother, is the last of the seating. The prelude music continues another 2 minutes for them to settle, any newcomers to take seats, and any ushers who are also GM to get in place beside the Groom.
    Then the processional music starts.
Mothers/ parents seating is Prelude. Not part of the Processional.
