Ceremony Musician Compensation

My cousin is a musician and will be doimg our ceremony music. We're not sure how to properly compensate him and looking for suggestions.

    Is he a professional? Usually $200 is standard.

    I had a saxophonist for our cocktail hour. His fee was $360 for an hour and a half. We also tipped him.

    I agree with Peggy that $200 per musician is usually pretty standard.

    Hi there Katie!

    I would suggest you price some other musicians who provide ceremony music in your area and use this as a guide on what to give him.

    Alternatively, if you were comfortable to do so, you could ask him what he typically charges for a wedding. I appreciate this may not be something you want to ask straight out, so option 1 may be best Smiley smile
