Ceremony on a hill?

Carol, on February 24, 2018 at 3:50 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3
Okay y’all!

Im reaching out (again) for something I can’t figure out! My ceremony is by mountains and a lake, so the grassy area has a slight slope!! I cannot cannot figure out what type of arbor and entrance way to have and how to do it on a slope!!

Any ideas? Pictures help or if you’re married and have the secrets to this please let me!!!!

For reference: this is the ceremony location, it’s hard to tell because of the snow but it slopes slightly!

Are you having a large guest list? I would do long benches possibly instead of chairs for guests. The arbor can be secured to the ground. My florist is using stakes to tie it in place.

If it's only a slight slope, you don't need to worry about it. If you are digging holes for the uprights, you simply dig one set a little deeper to level out the arch. If the arbor you choose wouldn't normally require holes to be dug, just do shallow ones for the back.

There is no reason that the slope needs to limit your choice of arbor.
