Ceremony processional

April, on August 12, 2021 at 12:01 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 3
So we decided on no wedding party other then our kids (11F) and (18M) she will be walking with my FH and my son will be walking me down the aisle. We didn’t really talk about the parents walking. Both sets of grandparents are gone so that is a non issue but his mother is widowed and my mother and father are divorced and she is widowed as well. Between them and then my father and his wife I think it’s just too many people walking. I wanted it super simple and quick and just us and the kids walking but not sure then how people would know the ceremony is getting ready to start and take their seats. I don’t know if that makes any sense but this my wedding brain in full stress mode since we are only 35 days out! Help!

I would say if the parents don't mind not being walked, skip all that, have the officiant announce its time to start, and then get the show on the road with you guys and the kiddos

Just have the officiant make an announcement that things will be starting and everyone should take their seats.

We are having a DJ play music as guests arrive. About five minutes before the processional, we'll have the DJ play the sound of chimes, singing bowls or a tolling of the bells, like theaters do right before the opening curtain.
