Okay so my fiancé and I have figured out the processional and that we are writing our own vows. What else needs to happen? We plan on the officiant giving a small speech about love and marriage and Christianity but no longer than 5-8 mins. When do we do rings? When do we sign the license?

    The exchange of the rings usually happens at the end of the ceremony. Signing of the license usually happens after the ceremony. Usually the couple, their witnesses, and the officiant go off together to sign away from the rest of the guests. Here was our order of events.

    Some people also choose to do some type of symbolic thing like candle lighting or sand ceremony or the like
