Ceremony & reception at the same place? How long?

My wedding and reception were at the same place. My wedding was at four were out the venue by ten..we partied at the hotel later

Ours was all at the same venue. Ceremony started at 6pm and the reception ended at 11:30pm.

Ours will all be at the same location. Our ceremony will begin at 4:30p and the reception will end at 11pm.

Well, because this is what we do, all of ours are. Typically, ceremony at 6:00-6:30, cocktails from6:30-7:30 and dinner until 11:30.

So we'll be doing first dance, cake cutting, etc. Before dinner so it's not a super early dinner

A friend of mine just did the same, as well. And some people (younger crowd and singles) were there til 10, but most started to leave around 9-930.

Having everything at the same venue, specifically all in the same room. Ceremony starts at 6, 6:30 cocktail hour, 7:30-11:30 the reception

Ours is 4:30-10:30 pm as of right now. Trying to figure out if that's a good amount of time or if we should add another half hour? Our dancing right now is only two hours. & I wouldn't want the majority gone by the end of the reception.
