Ceremony Script Book?

Lisa, on October 26, 2020 at 12:06 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6
For those who either wrote their own ceremony script or provided a script for the officiant, what did you use to put the script in for the ceremony? Did you use a binder and put a printed copy of the script in there? Or did you find a booklet and write the script in there? Or did you just print it out and have the officiant read it directly off the paper? My fiance and I bought vow books for us to write our vows in, but we're not sure what we should do for our officiant's script! Anyone have any cool ideas to share?

Most officiants have their own binders they use. So I wouldn't worry about unless you're having a friend perform the ceremony who wouldn't have one in their possession as a one time thing.

My husband's grandpa officiated our wedding and he printed out the script and put it in a small ring binder so it still looked professional. With a binder the pages are easier to turn.

My fiance's friend will be our officiant. He has never officiated a wedding before, so he unfortunately doesn't have his own binder. Is a regular binder typically what they would use?

I was considering doing the same! I was thinking of putting the script in page protectors in a binder for our officiant (my fiance's friend), but wasn't sure if that's what most people use or if there's a better way. Sounds like a binder is the way to go.

A folder with pockets (that you store loose papers in) would be sufficient. You don't need to get fancy with it unless he wants something to reuse at work.
