Ceremony seating

Kevin, on October 6, 2020 at 4:47 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
Our venue is requiring us to do assigned seating for the ceremony as people will need to be seated within their household and then be social distances from others. We have little tags with their names on them. Should we hang them off the chairs or have them somewhere and then the tag say which chair is theirs. I’ve looked on Pinterest and other than the reserved for family most don’t have assigned seating for the ceremony so I am at a loss. Dang these new covid rules

Hanging the tags on the chair sounds cute.

Hang the tag on the chairs but have a seating chart so they know which one is there’s instead of having to search for it. Like you would do for reception seating.

For the ceremony at the last 3 Covid weddings we have been to, they have had a strip of felt, with a small card stapled to it. The piece of felt stayed put, no sliding off the pew or chair back, the way that a 7-8 inch strip of ribbon would. Someone mentioned a show or website gave them the idea, explains all 3 doing it.

I agree with hanging it (or place it on the chair/seat) but also have a seating chart so they can easily find their seat.
