Have you done a rehearsal yet to gather the time length?

Is it possible to schedule a day with the venue for you to come up and time the walk? You wouldn't necessarily need your whole bridal party there. That would help you time the walk from the woods to the ceremony area!

Also, are you going to have a day of coordinator? This would be the perfect thing to discuss with them because they can tell your wedding party when they need to start walking.

I agree with Minimalist Bride. Have you practiced to see how long it takes everyone to walk down the aisle? It is hard to say how many songs you will need without an idea of how long it will take for everyone to walk down the aisle.

A rehearsal at the venue is a must to get that many people figured out what they're doing and timing of the music. Remember that you all are going to be walking very slow, not normal speed.


There is 30 minutes of music while guests are seated and bridesmaids enter. You make your entrance to a separate song that is usually just a minute song (don't use the entire song). Groom and groomsman enter after the guests are seated but before the bridesmaids enter.

We did 1 song for wedding party and different songs for the brides. For the wedding party, our DJ just looped it until everyone was in place. Your DJ should be able to keep the music flowing until it is time to cut it off.
