Ceremony Start Date for June 26th, 2021 Brides

Victoria, on November 16, 2020 at 3:17 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 24

Hi Everyone!

I'm having a little trouble getting together my timeline for my wedding date and am wonder when everyone else is starting their ceremonies? I just rescheduled my wedding from January 2nd, 2021 to June 26th and since I'm going from winter to summer I'm scrambling to let my vendors know/ find a few new vendors.

Our wedding will be in Jan. 2022 and we're aiming for 3:30-4pm to start the ceremony. The reason being that we want to be able to get enough pictures done before the sun sets.

Since you're moving yours from winter-summer, the sun will set later than expected. Most summer weddings I've attended started their ceremony around 4:30-5. Def. google or check weather apps/websites for the average time the sun sets during the month your wedding will be held.

What new vendors do you need? You can find most via Instagram and Thumbtack.com. Your photographer and makeup/hair team can help you figure out when to get ready based on when your ceremony venue allows you to start.

Thank you! Yeah, I saw a lot of other people starting at that time as well when I looked it up on Google. My venue has a cut-off time of 10 pm so I want to make sure I have enough time for all the things I'd like to do. Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you for that advice! Since some of our vendors are booked on our new date I'm scrambling to lock in a DJ and a new videographer. Thank goodness wedding wire has made it easy for me to contact a few people.

Thank you for that! I just checked the weather near me and yeah it looks like we're looking at around 8 pm for the sunset, so I'm now thinking about doing a ceremony start time at around 4 since my venue has a cut-off time by 10 pm. I want to make sure I have enough time to dance the night away.

Our wedding is in April & we plan on starting at 4pm, that way we can get the evening sun for pictures. Talk with your photographer & see what they recommend.

Hey girl! Does your venue have a cut off time? And not to be another but have you put together your timeline yet?

I made my start time decision based on how the lighting would look during the ceremony. optimal lighting needed for photo and video is around 5:30/6 so my ceremony is at 5:30. This will give perfect light for both ceremony and shots afterwards. Talk to your photographer/videographer/coordinator and together you guys can pick a time!

Hi! So our venue has a music ordinance that starts at 10pm and then guests need to be off the property by 11pm. The vendors have until 12pm to be off the property. I'm starting to look at the timeline but nothing is concrete lol. I do know we are starting hair and makeup at 8am since I have 8 girls, myself and one of the moms. Should be done around 1-2pm to do some pictures before hand. Luckily everything is being done at the same location so we don't have to worry about travel time.

We went from June 28th 2020 to June 27th 2021. We are a summer wedding in Southern California. We are starting our wedding at 4pm. The sunsetting will be a little later , so we will prob take pics later on in the evening. But there are many factors depending on weather, time of day etc

Our ceremony will start at 3:30 pm for our February wedding, that way my fiancee and I will get our bridal party shots and our first look done just before the sun sets. I do recommend having your ceremony start at around 4:00 or 4:30 or so to make things simpler.

I postponed from one summer date to another. Supposed to have been August 16, 2020, now July 11, 2021. Both ceremony start times are at 6:30. We'll be partying until 1 am! Smiley smile
