We decided to rent a 20x60 tent for our guests for the ceremony only to keep them comfortable from the heat. We are expecting about 170 guests to the reception (Friday evening), but do not expect them all to attend the ceremony at 5:30 (which I am fine with).
My planner sent me the layout of a 20x60 tent with seating & it will likely only accommodate 120 guests under the tent (though maybe we could squeeze a few more rows in, too). But the open area I highlighted in blue will be in the shade for the ceremony, too. You guys think it's ok to put a bunch of chairs there too even though the symmetry would be off? The other side would be in the sun, so definitely don't want to do that to people. We definitely have enough chairs for everyone though.
We could also get a 20x80 tent, but I think that's almost too long of a look for the ceremony. Anyone do something similar?
