Ceremony waiting music

Jacquelyn, on January 19, 2015 at 1:59 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3

I want to put together some songs to play as guests arrive and wait for the ceremony to start. One day I want it all classical music and then the next day I want it to be something a little more modern, and then I want covers of classic love songs. I'm loving this song by "Oh Honey"-"I love you will still sound the same", anything by the Piano Guys, and then last night I stumbled across "I want to hold your hand" cover by Caitlin Hart. What is everyone else doing?

We are doing a mix of things. Check the Prelude music list here on wedding wire. The Piano Guys is an awesome choice! We're definitely having them in the wedding. I love their version of A Thousand Years, which I may walk down the aisle to, or At Last by Etta James. Not sure. We started a list of songs we want regardless of genre. Anything that we thought about but decided against is going on CDs to give as favors for our guests (less appropriate songs like ZZ Top's Sharp Dressed Man).

I'm sticking to slow-medium tempo gospel music during the pre-ceremony time, then switching to R&B at the reception...
