Chairs on grass

Kelsey, on October 29, 2016 at 11:21 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11

We are having an outdoor wedding in an extremely rural area (SW Kansas) and I am having a heck of a time finding chairs to rent that won't sink in the grass. Does anyone have any recommendations for rentals in that area and/or what type of chairs I should be looking for??

Can you find the wooden type? They would probably work best?

Long shot, but can you rent a dance floor and use that maybe? I had the same problem with an event I ran and we have to rent a dance floor because there was nothing we could do!

Are you set on having chairs? If you're having a rustic wedding, I've seen hay bales or wooden benches used.

Would you be open to using benches instead?

We used wooden benches for our seating on grass.

Hay bales are itchy Smiley sad

Please don't use hay bales. I'm so direly allergic; my legs would be weeping sores for weeks. Benches would be fine.

Idk if this is what you are looking for exactly.. but my venue has outdoor weddings and uses these chairs.

I've thought about benches but I am afraid they would be really uncomfortable if they didn't have back support. My sister's allergies couldn't handle the hay bales, haha! And I'm pretty limited on options just because of where we are having it. The closest city is 3 hours away. I have found these type of chairs available for rent. Would they sink in grass?

Thanks Baranpartyof2! I assume if an outdoor venue uses them that they wouldn't sink in grass, I just haven't had any direct experience with them so I wasn't sure if they would or not.

No bales, no benches. I see those white wooden folding chairs the most often. My less expensive venues use white resin chairs, but they are kind of flimsy.
